Rebecca Blakiston has been website product manager at the University of Arizona (UA) Libraries since 2010. In this role, she chairs a website steering group and develops and manages an ongoing road map for the library’s multiple websites. She coordinates user research, manages projects, conducts training sessions, and facilitates communication between stakeholders.
In 2012 and 2013, she managed redesign projects for the Center for Creative Photography and the UA Special Collections websites. In 2014, she is managing a complete redesign of the main library website. She has also consulted across campus with departments interested in the user-centered approach to designing websites, particularly techniques such as card sorting, usability testing, and persona development.
She teaches online courses for Library Juice Academy on Do-It-Yourself Usability Testing, Writing for the Web, and Content Strategy. She holds a Master’s in Library Science.
