For 20 years, Mr. Sokohl has concentrated on crafting excellent user experiences, using strategic and tactical focuses on information architecture, interaction design, content strategy, & user research. Currently the principal for Regular Joe Consulting, LLC, Mr. Sokohl has previously held UX-oriented positions based in Boston, MA; Hamburg, Germany; Richmond, VA; Chicago, IL; & Durham, NC. His diverse client list includes work for Allianz Global Assistance, VCU , Waste Management, The Library of Congress, the Centers for Disease Control, NBC Operations, & others.
His UX writings have appeared in interactions (the ACM blog on SIGCHI), the SIGCHI newsletter, UXMatters.com, and STC’s Intercom. A recent board member of IxDA, Mr. Sokohl has presented at SXSW, EuroIA, Midwest UX, edUi, the EuroID Conference, the Information Architecture Summit, & Agile. He is a cofounder of RUX (RichmondUX.com).
Oh, and he’s been a soldier, cook, radio DJ, blues road manager, and reporter once upon a time.
